Successful Bilateral Cochlear Implant Surgery at LOR Hospital
LOR Hospital continues to contribute to the development of otorhinolaryngology in Azerbaijan by consistently implementing new medical projects and surgical procedures. As the only private clinic in the country specializing in ENT surgery, our hospital has pioneered numerous advancements in this field.
Cochlear implantation procedures — previously unavailable in our country — are now performed by LOR Hospital’s highly skilled doctors in accordance with international medical standards. In addition, hearing screenings, implant software programming, and device calibration are carried out by our specialists.
For the first time in our clinic, a bilateral cochlear implant surgery — simultaneous implantation in both ears — was successfully performed. The surgery was carried out by ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon, Dr. Tacaddin Muradov.
With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Mandatory Health Insurance, hundreds of patients with hearing impairments have been examined at LOR Hospital. To date, more than 100 children have successfully undergone cochlear implant surgery, restoring their ability to hear.
