X-Ray
X-ray is a painless, quick, and non-invasive imaging method used to visualize the internal structures of the body, such as bones, cavities, air-filled areas, and some soft tissues.
Images obtained by X-rays are used for diagnostic purposes.
In our clinic, ENT-related (ear, nose, throat) X-ray examinations are performed using high-quality equipment under the supervision of experienced radiologists.
Procedure duration and process
• The procedure takes about 1–5 minutes.
• The patient is positioned appropriately in the X-ray room.
• In some cases, metal objects must be removed.
• Parents are allowed to accompany infants and children.
Most common ENT X-ray examinations
Paranasal sinus X-ray
Purpose:
Used to diagnose chronic or acute sinusitis, nasal congestion, headaches, nasal discharge, skull injuries, or nasal bone fractures.
It helps detect:
• Fluid accumulation in the sinuses
• Polyps, cysts, or inflammation
• Bone structure abnormalities
Adenoid assessment
Used to evaluate adenoid enlargement in children.
Indications:
• Mouth breathing
• Recurrent ear infections
• Snoring and nasal obstruction during sleep
Neck X-ray
• Assessment of the laryngeal and tracheal airway
• Detection of foreign bodies in the throat
