Associate Professor Dr. Ramil Hashimli Elected Vice-President of CWASOS
Dr. Ramil Hashimli, otorhinolaryngologist at Lor Hospital, member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Otorhinolaryngology Society, and founding Secretary General of the Central and Western Asia Society of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (CWASOS), has achieved another significant milestone.
According to Qafqazinfo, the 4th Congress of CWASOS was held last month in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
During the international event, scientific discussions were held with participation from leading otorhinolaryngologists from regional countries, examining modern approaches and collaboration opportunities.
As a member of the organizing committee, Dr. Hashimli actively participated in scientific panels and sessions, contributing significantly to the development of the society.
Following voting at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Ramil Hashimli was elected Vice-President of CWASOS. This appointment reflects his recognized influence in international scientific circles and his contributions to promoting medical education and scientific collaboration in the region.
Currently, CWASOS includes seven member countries: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The organization’s main goal is to provide continuous medical education opportunities for specialists in ENT and head & neck surgery and to support the development of young physicians.
Dr. Hashimli’s election to this position is a proud moment for the Lor Hospital team and demonstrates the growing influence of our country in the international medical community.
