Foreign Object in the Ear
A foreign object remaining in the ear is a common condition, especially in children, and may lead to serious complications. Cotton, beads, toy parts, and even insects can enter the ear canal.
❗ Trying to remove it at home can be dangerous. Incorrect actions may push the object deeper, damage the eardrum, and cause infection.
What symptoms may occur?
- Ear pain and discomfort
- Hearing loss
- Noise or a feeling of fullness in the ear
- Ear discharge
- In children, unexplained crying and touching the ear
